Hotel Prag is located in the very center of Belgrade. The hotel was officially opened in 1929 and is one of the oldest Belgrade hotels with a long tradition. The hotel was built in several stages, starting from 1929, 1936, and 1978, and the beauty of the building itself, specific to 20th-century European modernist architecture, has placed it among the properties protected by the Cultural Heritage Protection Institute of the City of Belgrade.

Since the hotel is located right in the center of Belgrade, it is within walking distance of the most significant landmarks, monuments, institutions, entertainment, and shopping areas.

The hotel was built according to the project of architect Djura Borošić in a formerly famous commercial street in downtown Belgrade, and it was exhibited at the first Architecture Salon in 1929 and the Exhibition of Yugoslav Modern Architecture in 1931 as a beautiful work of Art Deco style. Hotel Prag was built between May and November 1929, and officially opened in December of the same year.

Originally, Hotel "Prag" had two entrances – the main entrance from Kraljice Natalije Street and the entrance from Balkanska Street (on the corner facade), which led to the tavern.
